Life on purpose, day 12

Today, Duck, Tink, Doodlebop and I volunteered with our American Heritage Girls troopWy0316 for the Pink Ribbon walk. The girls have now done three walks with their troop. Service hours are fantastic!

We showed up at 6:30 and met with two other troop members, and helped direct survivors of breast cancer to their breakfast tent. The girls got to do Zumba on the lawn of Wyoming's Supreme Court building, have breakfast(pancakes and bacon for those that could, bacon and yogurt for those of us who can't have gluten), got their faces painted and had balloon bracelets and hats made, and had their picture taken with Senator Barasso.

We came home and made a quick cucumber, tomato, cottage cheese salad and tried to head to our church's retreat center for the annual church picnic, and got stopped and turned back because a tanker truck had turned over on Interstate 80. We ended up on a little adventure, driving down into Colorado, west to Hwy 287 and then north for the back road entrance. A gorgeous drive with a little rain, and we enjoyed the company of church friends and family.

Now Tink and Pickle have gone off to a youth group Red Carpet dance with friends.

Dinner's in the instant pot, a ranch chicken with broccoli, and then we shall cuddle for Star Trek: The Original Series! Pictures for today to show up later!

Resuming the blog

I've stepped away largely from politics, so the better spot to be is here I think.

So much grand adventure to share, but to start, we are embarking on a new, deliberate quest. "Life on purpose".
We will be making and sharing deliberate adventures, grand or mini, for a year. Day one was August 1. I'll share days 1-7 here on Monday!
